BioArthur's full name is "Arthur Winstanton Milton" - he was born on March 25 1922 in a little village in Surrey. He was brought up by his 'aunt' Freda. He never knew his father.
He was raised Catholic but very rarely went to church after he left home (at 15 - he ran away to see the world. He was going to join the navy, but decided hanging around London coffee shops would be more fulfilling.)
He managed to avoid active service during the war (he was a member of a concert party for three months - but was discharged after an unfortunate incident).
He doesn't much like cats - or dogs - but he always wanted to own a turtle as a boy. He had a frog instead - it lived in Aunty Freda's pond at the back of the house. It got run over by a milk cart, though.
He had quite a lot of fun during 1930s, 1940s (most of them) and 1950s, but wasn't overly keen on the 1960s.
It's all a bit of a blur after that.
He is now retired - pending investigation.
This year his journal is being taken over by the lovely Russell.
